We'll be using mostly standard d20 modern rules.

Character Creation Guidelines

- Create your character at level 2.
- Full HP for first three levels. Further HP gain will be rolled normally. When levelling up, you can roll this on your own (just indicate the result to me); or, you can have me roll it for you.
- Use a 28-point buy for ability scores.
- Most occupations will be fine.
- At character creation, roll your Wealth bonus normally (2d4 + Occupation's bonus + any other bonus). I will use this to determine your assets and available starting equipment with your suggestions in mind. But (for obvious reasons if you played in Nick's game) your Wealth bonus will quickly become irrelevant.
- I will look over and approve all characters before gameplay. After a level-up, I will do the same before continuing the game.


RP Info.

You can fill out the character questionnaire here. Because (as opposed to Nick's game) we're dealing with brand new characters in a somewhat unfamiliar environment, I'm requiring that you work on the questionnaire.

You can post your answers in the thread itself or PM them to me if there's something about your character you want to keep hidden from other players (make sure you indicate to me what exactly this is).

Urban Labyrinth Productions' Restless Dreams will be used for psionics instead of d20 Modern's default psionics FX system. However, the following changes will be made:

- The prerequisites for the Egoist, Kineticist, Nomad, Seer, Shaper and Telepath advanced classes will be changed: all will now only require Wild Talent and that you be at least level 4 before taking them (or at the GM's discretion). As a general rule, you shouldn't take levels in more than three of these classes.
- The prerequisites for the Nightshade prestige class will be changed: it will not require the feats Nimble and Stealthy.
- Telepaths do not receive Leadership at 7th level (which will instead become a separate feat available to anyone) or Greater Leadership at 10th level. They instead receive flat +1 bonuses to their Leadership score at levels 7 and 10.
- You do not receive your psionic class(es)' bonus powers automatically; instead, you have access to them as if they were other powers of their level and receive an extra known power every even level. (For example, an Egoist would not get Vigor automatically at Egoist 1, but would be able to choose it as a power if he/she wanted it; when the character levels up, he/she can choose three additional powers instead of two at Egoist 2.)

Most things (feat and power descriptions, etc.) from Restless Dreams will override core d20 Modern information.

Check out this thread.

If you have any ideas for perks (especially if you'd like something special for your character), feel free to tell me. Keep in mind that most perks should generally stay away from straight numerical bonuses to rolls - flavorful, RP-based perks will be better.

As a rule of thumb, you should not take more than 10 perks and flaws total or spend more than 8 perk points. These limits may let up as the game progresses.

You can print off a character sheet and work with that if you want to. Afterwards, transpose this information into a stat block and either post it in this thread or PM it to me. I'd prefer, however, if they are in the format below.

Use this format for skills:

You can use this thread to mess around with character creation, discuss your characters, ask questions, write things in your characters' perspective - whatever the hell you want, really. When the game starts, I will present all final character statblocks in a sticky thread just for them. You can make a thread for your own character if you want, and I'll make it a sticky for you.

One good topic to discuss here is how your characters know one another (you should know at least one other character fairly well and at least one other should be an acquaintance).
