Seeing Ultimate Magus in Complete Mage got me kind of excited about trying it, so that's partly the reason why this guy has a full 20-level progression.

At level 20, Mairuh has 13th-level wizard spellcasting ability and 14th-level sorcerer spellcasting ability, which both grant access to up to 7th level spells. He casts wizard spells with a caster level of 14+1d6 and sorcerer spells with a caster level of 15+1d6.

His wizard spell slots will be 4/5/5/5/5/3/2/1; his sorcerer spells per day are 6/8/7/7/7/7/5/3; his sorcerer spells known are 9/6*/5/4/4/4/3/2/1, not counting the expanded spell knowledge benefit of Ultimate Magus.
*5 if Mairuh had broken ties with his mentor before surpassing her.

I finally found a description of the Turami ethnicity. Mairuh's appearance has to change a bit to fit in with it; I decided to go with it, so the above has been changed to reflect that.

Given his physical stats, I don't see his height or weight changing any, however.

Backstory
Kofi Abidemi was born into an unremarkable merchant family. Even from childhood he was eccentric, and his father Tafari worried that Kofi, his only son, wouldn't have the wits about him to take up the family craft. Not that he was unintelligent or impersonable - Tafari was often shocked at his son's ease of learning and quick tongue - but something just seemed... wrong with him. His behavior was erratic and he just didn't seem to have any "world sense." Plus strange things would sometimes happen in Kofi's presence - things his father could not explain.

Tafari grew to almost fear his son.

Kofi was discovered at age 9 by the journeying sorcereress Senka Ioanshet, who pleaded with his parents for permission to take him under her wing. Hating himself for almost being glad to be free of young Kofi, Tafari Abidemi turned his son over to Senka.

Kofi was taken to an arcane academy, where he was exposed over the years to several traditions of arcane study. He was recognized for his instinctual link to magic but also for his intellect which could be put toward wizardly studies. When asked which he would prefer to pursue, Kofi responded, "Both."

When he was 22, his initial training had been completed. Upon his graduation, he adopted his mentor's surname along with a Draconic name of his choice: he was now Mairuh Ioanshet, who walks two paths in his belief that one day he will become magic incarnate.


Physical Description
Mairuh is a bit short and somewhat thin (STR 8, DEX 12) but appears very healthy (CON 14). He is low on muscle mass (STR), but he is neither emaciated nor fat (CON, DEX).

Mairuh dresses in black-and-blue clothes that resemble traditional Korean garb (loose pants tied on with a sash, an open coat with no shirt underneath, sandals, etc.) He wears his hair in long dreadlocks - usually down, but he does occasionally tie it back (such as when he is deep in study).

He generally keeps his familiar, the snake Tanith, coiled around his left arm.


Mental/Social Attributes
Mairuh is undeniably a bit insane (CN, WIS 8). Though intelligent (INT 16) and possessing a strong force of will (CHA 16), his thoughts and behavior are often not quite logical (CN, WIS). Sometimes he may seem oblivious or absent-minded; other times he gets over-excited and his words and mannerism drip with a sudden, incomprehensible passion.

Something just seems wrong with Mairuh; that said, his brand of wrongness is unmistakeable and can even be impressive (CHA 16). His moments of chaotic passion - to the right audience - are awe-inspiring, perhaps even contagious.

When he cares - and usually he doesn't - he can get people to like him (CHA).

Senka Ioanshet - Mairuh's Mentor
according to the apprenticeship rules in the DMG2, pages 175-179

Base Level 5th
Mairuh's CHA bonus is +3
Mairuh and Senka are both human sorcerers +1
Mairuh (CN) and Senka (N) share one alignment aspect +1
Mairuh starts at maximum ranks in the skills granted by the Apprentice feat +1

Senka is a level 11 sorcerer.

thorough, as always

i still need to read the apprent rules, but ill get on that
ive been planning for the campaign in my spare time (ie. during classes), so i have some material...ill just need a couple of hours to plan, preferably at least a day to ponder on it before we actually play.
