We'll be using the Cortex rules for this game. Get in touch with me or Wicker on AIM; we'll get you the goods.

1. Your character starts with 44 Attribute points, 64 Skill points and 2 Trait points. Otherwise use the relevant rules and maxes for creating Novice characters. All characters, by virtue of taking part in this mission in the first place, are entitled to at least Duty d4; soldiers and pilots should probably take Duty d8.

2. Keep in mind that this is a near-future setting with regards to equipment and skills. Although the weapons and such in use are more advanced than modern technology, use the book's values for guns, etc. - there are no energy weapons yet. (Note that equipment prior to play will be largely irrelevant.)

3. Avoid the more esoteric traits, magic stuff, etc.

4. At any time during and immediately after playing through your character prologue, you may tweak your character sheet with my approval.

You can ask questions or discuss your characters here if you wish.

Keep in mind what concepts other people are playing to when deciding on your character. Though this is far from a game that demands a balanced party, it would be nice to have a diverse set of player characters.
